Statement:
Lisa TalbotŐs MFA work explores the psychological manifestation of physical illness. Her diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 24 provoked in her work a sense of stepping beyond the limits of physicality into the realms of the psyche. Cycles began as a psychological portrait about her self, and evolved into a series of photographs documenting the changing progression of the emotional and physical landscape that lives within her. The series can be viewed as an inward turn of the observing lens onto her own body, mind and soul.
