ARTIST STATEMENT
My abstract oil paintings explore forms that reference nature using the process of pouring as a template for my imagination to go in and out of. Although there is a sense of decay, forms are procreative and specifics are constructed from accident and chance. Self-generating forms evolve into emergent shapes with an underlying continuity. Earthbound and mineral colors oscillate throughout the canvas creating a sense of deep space and reference to the sublime.
